Since our emancipation, African-Americans have spearheaded numerous campaigns and causes to ensure their safety and their rights and to define what freedom meant and looked like. This booth will cover select Black movements - from the Niagara Movement to Black Lives Matter - to compare and contrast their essential elements. This booth will also highlight a common thread throughout many Black movements; music!
