The importance of August to Black History Education

Tell us 3 reasons why learning about Black history is vital for students of all backgrounds. Highlight the value of understanding the achievements, struggles, and contributions of Black people in shaping the world today. Also, explain why August holds significance in Black History education.

• Essay must address and clearly answer the prompt.

• The contest is open to juniors & seniors from Englewood, Hackensack, and Teaneck high schools in New Jersey.

• Winner will have the honor of reading their speech at the annual RT400 flag raising event on August 1, 2025!
